Feishy is a chassidic Jew, one of four Orthodox Jews who moved to Verplanck, New York to create a new Jewish community there.
Personality and traits[]
Feishy is shown to be very friendly and eager. He is somewhat unknowledgeable about modern, non-chassidic living; for instance, not knowing what a municipal building is and butchering idiomatic expressions (e.g., "We may have bitten off more than a handlebar"). He also appears to be rather sensitive, as he was very upset at having run over the Mayor of Verplanck's cat, Lucky. He once quoted the Baal Shem Tov.[1]
